The Pediatric Residency Program at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine is recruiting for one PGY-4 Chief Resident to join our department of pediatrics on July 1, 2027. Located in the beautiful Bronx, NY neighborhood of Morris Park, you will join another Chief Resident to transition to a new leadership responsibility, that of an academic attending and educator to our 45 residents. As a clinician-educator, the Chief Resident will use the year to grow in leadership, clinical, scholarly, and administrative abilities. The year will also provide the Chief Resident the opportunity to develop their interpersonal, negotiation and diplomacy skills. Clinical responsibilities will include clinical service time on the inpatient pediatric floor as acting attendings, under the supervision of a Pediatric Hospital Medicine Attending. Also, dedicated clinical activities are built in that align with individual interests and moonlighting opportunities may be available. Chief Residents serve as advocates for a diverse group of residents, assist in creating a positive work environment and support resident wellness. During this year you will gain experience in curriculum development, simulation supervision and take the lead in facilitating educational sessions for residents and medical students.
