The General Surgery Residency Program at The University of Central Florida/HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is pleased to announce the availability of Two (2) PGY-2 categorical positions with an immediate start. HCA Florida Ocala is a busy Level I Trauma Center (~5,000–6,000 activations/year) and one of three main UCF teaching hospitals, offering high-volume open, laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic experience, high acuity complex trauma/vascular/general surgery operative cases (>1200 through graduation), and a robust surgical critical care experience including ECMO exposure. Our program offers protected didactics helping our residents achieve top in-service scores, a simulation lab with early exposure to FES/FLS skills, and dedicated research/QI support with a track record for academic publications and society meeting presentations.
