The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell General Surgery Residency program currently has a Preliminary PGY 2 position available for the academic year 7/1/2026- 6/30/2027. Our campuses are located at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset NY, and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park NY. Health care is changing. The general surgery residency program at Northwell Health helps our trainees prepare for and grow along with it. The program helps trainees develop and sharpen skills that are vital for success and better patient outcomes by providing a diverse and thorough education: structured lectures on health care policy, hands-on training in surgical suites and noninvasive laboratories, practice management training and mentorship.
