Additional Information:  We will have an open PGY-2 position in the Allegheny Health Network/Allegheny General Hospital Emergency Medicine (EM) Residency Program effective July 1, 2024. We are seeking a well-qualified applicant who is interested in joining our 3-year Emergency Medicine training program in Pittsburgh, PA.   The residency is based at a level 1 Trauma center/Comprehensive Stroke Center/Comprehensive Cardiac Center.  Residents also rotate through a variety of community emergency departments and gain a broad exposure to multiple non-EM specialties.  More information on the program is available on our website at  https://www.ahn.org/health-care-professionals/education/graduate-medical-education/residencies/emergency-medicine Applicants must have successfully completed at least one year or be currently enrolled in an ACGME-accredited EM residency program   OR have successfully completed two or more years in an ACGME-accredited program in another specialty.  Current Program Director approval is also required.  If you know of any qualified candidates, please have them forward the following application materials via email to Sue Norville, Residency Coordinator, at [email protected]:  Cover letter stating interest in Allegheny General Hospital and reason for leaving the current program Current Curriculum vitae USMLE or COMLEX scores Medical School transcript Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)/Dean’s Letter At least 2 letters of recommendation from emergency medicine faculty---One of these letters must be from the current program director.
