Description
The Ohio State University General Surgery Residency has an opening for a well-qualified applicant for a PGY-2 preliminary position with effective start date of August 1, 2024. 

Requirements
Applicants must: 1) have successfully completed at least one year in an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency program, 2) be currently enrolled in a General Surgery residency program in good standing and must have program director approval, OR 3) have successfully completed two or more years in an ACGME accredited program in another specialty, be in good standing and have the support of your current program director.

 For consideration applicants should send:

  • Current CV with reference list
  • Personal Statement 
  • USMLE Scores (Step 1, Step 2; Step 3 if applicable)
  • Medical School Transcript and Diploma
  • Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)/ Dean's letter
  • A list of rotations completed in the PGY-1 year (or subsequent years if applicable)
  • 2 letters of recommendation, preferably from General Surgery faculty
  • Letter of recommendation from the Program Director is required
