We have an opening for a PGY-2 or PGY-3 resident at the well-established New York Medical College Residency Program at Metropolitan Hospital (NYMC/Metropolitan).  This position is available due to an additional open position, and we welcome applicants motivated to complete their residency training in New York City.

The New York Medical College Pediatrics Residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center has been training pediatricians for over 50 years, many of whom have stayed on to join our experienced faculty. Our aim is for our graduates to be lifelong learners, teachers, leaders and advocates for children of our region and around the world.

Each resident receives robust training in General Pediatrics and is given the opportunity to develop an individualized curriculum that aligns with the desired career path. Pediatric subspecialty rotations enable our learners to participate as team members in the care of patients with chronic and complex disorders. Residents are given abundant opportunities to work with other members of the health care team in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings to allow them to become leaders skilled in the organization and management of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of at least 12 months or 24 months of training from an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program, ideally by June 30, 2025
  • ECFMG-certified and successfully passed USMLE Step 3
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
