The University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital is excited to announce two additional PGY-1 positions in its recently approved/funded Physician Scientist Development Program

We are an ACGME accredited Pediatric Residency program of 70 pediatric residents, and an additional 16 med/peds residents. In addition to these existing slots, in January we secured approval and funding for two additional Physician-Scientist positions we are now looking to recruit.

We are looking for a candidate who has a track record of academic success, demonstrates excellent communication skills, is a considerate team member, and who has a passion for health equity. Comer Children’s Hospital is a non-profit teaching hospital that sits on the city’s south-side and serves Chicago’s must vulnerable children.

The strengths of our program are the diversity of experiences providing direct patient care, the active collaboration with general pediatric and subspecialty faculty and researchers, the tremendous research support including access to world-class research centers, and our shared commitment to providing equitable, excellent medical care.  Our motivated residents pursue a variety of career choices after residency, such as general pediatrics in FQHC settings, urgent care clinics; ambulatory, hospitalist or positions in academic centers; fellowship positions in competitive specialties around the country.

We are located in Chicago, IL (Hyde Park neighborhood)
