Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital General Surgery Residency Program has an open position for a categorical PGY-2 to start July 1, 2025.  We are looking for an applicant who will be completing a preliminary PGY-1 or preliminary PGY-2 year at an ACGME-approved General Surgery residency program in 2025 and is in good standing with his/her current program.

* Updated CV * Medical school diploma * Medical school transcript * MSPE (Dean's letter) * USMLE/COMLEX Transcripts (a first-time pass on all exams is required) * Personal statement * ECFMG certificate (if applicable) * Citizenship/Visa Status  * ACGME Defined Category Case Log Report * ACGME General Surgery Year 2 Minimum Case Log Report * 3 letters of recommendation from current faculty – 1 must be from current Program Director *  Only complete applications will be considered.
