Due to a complement increase, the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Residency Program is recruiting for a PGY2 OBGYN Residency position to begin in June 20, 2025. This position is ONLY open to residents in preliminary PGY1 OBGYN positions in ACGME-accredited programs who will have completed their year of training by June 2025.
The Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency at Thomas Jefferson University is a fully accredited, four-year program designed to provide the highest level of didactic, clinical, and research training in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Residents practice in a combination of urban and community hospitals, allowing for exposure to varied patient populations of high acuity and high volume. All major subspecialties are represented in our OBGYN department with unique clinical opportunities in high-risk obstetrics, family planning, and surgical robotics.
There is a strong emphasis on research and academic activities, with all residents required to participate in scholarly work and strongly encouraged to publish and present at regional or national meetings. The program offers dedicated mentorship, a standardized research curriculum, and monthly research meetings to support these efforts. We foster a supportive culture that values work-life integration, open communication, and constructive feedback. We recognize the importance of building a sense of community and professional development, and we encourage residents to enjoy their time both in our department and the dynamic city of Philadelphia.
